What’s On Top Of My Dresser?…

What’s On Top Of My Dresser???..

As most of you will have seen recently I decided to do some declutters and also decided to switch up the products I had out on my dresser.  If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen my declutter and also photos of my vanity. I like to change up what I use so I’ve dedicated a post to whats currently on my dresser…

When I first got the white drawers I had products just laid out on top and I wanted to organise them a bit better. I picked up this clear vanity organiser from Danielle Creations. I absolutely love their vanity organisers. It makes your vanity space look absolutely beautiful.  It has sections for palettes, brushes, powders and even lipsticks too. At the back of the dresser I have my most loved palette of 2017 and thats the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill palette. I keep it in the box it came in as I do with most of my palettes. I absolutely adore this palette and much prefer to keep it out on top of my dresser mainly because it won’t fit in my drawers so that’s an advantage to use it more….

On top of my Morphe palette I have another two products, one is an eyeshadow palette and the other is a brow palette.  I have used the same brow product for years now and that is the Tanya Burr Perfect Brows. It has four shades inside, an angled brush and a pair of tweezers. The eyeshadow palette is a recent purchase from the Kylie X Kourt Collab. My last post was all about that collection if you want to take a read HERE….

A lot of the palette’s that are out on my dresser are palettes that have just been released or palettes I’m literally in love with.  I have been loving Christien Dominique’s Latte Palette and can’t wait for the new Lemonade palette to release.  I am also a huge fan of the Violet Voss X Nicol Concilio palette that was released last  year. The colours in that palette are absolutely insane and so pigmented.  I’m not too sure if you can still pick it up, it may be on their website. Amongst these palettes are the first two releases from Laura Lee Los Angeles, the Urban Decay Kristen Leanne palette and the rest of the Kylie X Kourt collab. Like I say I’m getting a feel for most of the newer palettes and when Ive had a play I rotate the palettes again…

On top of my dresser I have also included the brushes I use the most. At one point I did hold all of my brushes on this organiser but decided to go through them and just put the ones I actually use there. All of my spare brushes are on the other set of drawers. A lot of my brushes are from Real Techniques and Spectrum Collections. These are some of my favourite brushes. I also have some brushes from Tarte, Huda Beauty and Charlotte Tilbury too 🙂

I not only use this beauty organiser to rotate products but I like to put my everyday makeup on here too. As you can see I have some powders, concealers, foundation, mascara, lipsticks, eyeshadows, fragrance, creams and brow products on display too. It makes it so much easier when I have to do my makeup for work of a morning. It saves having to go through so many different drawers for your favourite products..

The foundation I know always agrees with my skin is the Maybelline Better Skin Foundation. Now I’m not too sure if this is still available in stores. I get mine online and usually stock up when Im lucky enough to find it. I also like to have a few powders on display too, a loose setting powder, a finishing powder and a banana powder. My three must have when it comes to setting and brightening my base/face makeup. My trusty Rimmel Stay Matte always makes its way to the top of my dresser.  I switch up my concealer from Maybelline to Loreal to Tarte, it depends what type of coverage I’m after at the time. For my mascara I always use a base mascara, then one for added length and volume. I absolutely love Tarte’s bottom lash mascara too…

Obviously for your base makeup you’ve gotta have some blenders right and some of my faves are from Real Techniques and Tarte. I always use these to set my makeup, I much prefer using them for this type of application than applying foundation with them. I have admitted in the past I use my hands to apply my foundation because this is what I’m used to and feel comfortable with. Yes it may sound gross but I always make sure my hands are clean before hand. I do use brushes to apply foundation every now and then..

Lastly I have to have some lipsticks on my dresser. Currently the ones I’m loving are fromTanya Burr Cosmetics and Kylie Cosmetics. Kylie Cosmetics Butterscotch is my go to right now…

I always like to have a fragrance and a candle out on my dresser too. I feel like it just adds the finishing touches to the display. Currently in love with the new fragrance from Ariana Grande. It’s called Moonlight and it smells incredible….

I’ve also included some shop links if your interested in any of the products I’ve mentioned, remember smile and be happy……:)
