What I Got For my Birthday: Makeup Edition

Hey lovelies ,hope your all doing well…My birthday was this month and the celebrations were fab!! Lets just say I’m no longer 21 which to me age is nothing but a number. So I wanted to share with you today what I got for my birthday and all of these are makeup products 🙂 I am absolutely so appreciative of these gifts and do not want to add photos to show off or brag, these are items I asked for and was in no way expecting all of them but luckily I received what was on my list 🙂

Charlotte Tilbury WonderGlow Primer as always been a holy grail product for me. I discovered Charlotte Tilbury products last year on Instagram. I knew of Charlotte’s name in the makeup world but didn’t realise how phenomenal the products were. I actually seen a photo on Marusjastyle’s instagram page and was so intrigued by the product. This was when the obsession began and I’m so so happy to have such a fab collection. The wonderglow primer is a product I use on off duty days. Yes it is expensive but your paying for quality when it comes to Charlotte Tilbury products. This primer retails for £38.50 as is described as a instant soft focus beauty flash primer. You may be thinking gosh that much for a primer but once you apply it to your skin you can definitely see what Charlotte means about getting a gorgeous glow to the skin. I asked for this as the primer i had before had run out(obviously) and it lasted around one year, the longevity of this item is spot on. I definitely recommend this if you want to splurge a little..

When I discovered Charlotte’s brand I did a lot of research on her as a makeup artist and her work. Charlotte brought out a collection in collaboration with the photographer Norman Parkinson. I believe this collection came out in 2015 I think so i’m late to the game with this product. I did want to pick it up last year but thought this item was out of stock with it being a past product. Luckily when I got an email from Charlotte Tilbury advertising the summer sale I was instantly sold. I was so so happy that the Charlotte Tilbury X Norman Parkinson highlighter was being resold. I asked for this straight away because I don’t know how long it will be on the site for. OMG this is such a beautiful highlighter, it’s very subtle too and contains mother of pearl tones in it. At the moment it’s retailing for £31.50 on Charlotte’s website here. Im going to play around with it more and see how it captures the light especially on a summers day 🙂

Charlotte Tilbury Beach Sticks are products you can use not only on the cheeks but on the lips as well. I had never been a fan of blushes in a stick until quite recently. I have become such a huge fan of instagram lately and love all the beauty accounts on there. The one account I have been loving right now is HollyScott Mua. Holly is a makeup artist at Charlotte’s flagship store in Covent Garden.  I have been to Charlotte’s westfield store but not covent garden yet. It would be a dream to have my makeup done at the flagship store one day 🙂 I adore Charlotte’s products and Holly displays them well on her page. When I saw a photo of a swatch from one of Charlotte’s beach sticks I was so impressed. Yes I did think would this product suit me but guys the shade is gorgeous. I was drawn to the colour and knew I had to get this. Luckily I received this as one of my gifts too and I’m so in love.  The beach sticks retail for £30.00 and this is in the shade Moon Beach. Inspired by the golden sands and bronzed goddesses in Ibiza. Moonbeach takes its name after “the” very beach in Ibiza 🙂

Nars audacious lipsticks have been out a while as far as I know. I don’t have a lot of products from Nars but my collection is slowly growing. I know Nars are not cruelty free  but seeing as Instagram is full of Nars products I wanted to get my hands on one of these lipsticks. I heard the formula is so so creamy and it just glides onto your lips. I’m such a HUGE fan of Amelia Lottie’s instagram account. I talked about Amelia in my spring inspiration post from a few months ago too. I absolutely love her photos and yes Amelia was the one that started my nars obsession…THANK YOU hun!! 🙂  Amelia photographs the audacious lipstick in “Raquel” so so nicely. The shade looked beautiful and looks like “the” perfect nude shade. I caved in after temptation finally fell through. I popped this product onto my birthday wishlist and was so so surprised when I pulled this out of my gift bag. I’m literally in love with this shade and yes the formula is amazing. I haven’t swatched it on my lips yet only my arm and think this is going to be a bad thing for my bank balance as I need more shades in these lipsticks now 🙂 This product retails for £25.00 and you can pick it up here 🙂

From T-B is the Nars Audacious lipstick in Raquel and the bottom shade is the Charlotte Tilbury Beachstick in Moonbeach

Now this item isn’t a makeup product as such but a tinted moisturiser. Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow is a NEW product that I was dying to get my hands on. I’m not a fan of wearing a tinted moisturiser alone as I have blemishes and scars to cover so I wore this today underneath my magic foundation. OMG you guys the glow this product gives is BEAUTIFUL!! Healthy Glow retails for £35.00 and can be purchased on Charlotte’s site here 🙂 Healthy Glow is a unisex product and can be worn all year round. It definitely is summer in a bottle and it really does give you a natural tint as if you have been away on holiday and come back looking like a bronzed goddess. I love the formula of this, it just glides on nicely and doesn’t give you an oily feel to the skin. When blended with your foundation it really does give you that #glowmo 🙂

Lastly I got the item I’m in love with THE MOST GUYS. I put this on my birthday wishlist thinking I’m not going to get this as it’s so expensive. Again Amelia Lottie got me wanting this product. Her photos of the Diorskin nude air luminizer are so so gorgeous. I didn’t own anything from Dior’s makeup line until this month. My god I’m in love with this highlighter, it is so so beautiful. I got the shade 001 and when I swatched this on my arm I was blown away. It’s subtle but it’s not if that makes any sense. I can’t wait to use this more but I don’t want to use it too much and spoil the letters in the compact. The packaging is just too pretty embossed in a silver case as well as a christian dior brush that came with it. Before my birthday I seen this in debenhams and was instantly drawn to the dior counter there that I thought to myself this is a product I knew wouldn’t make its way into my makeup collection. Thanks to my partner I now own this beautiful item. Thank you so much…..xo

I really am grateful for all of these products in this post. If it wasn’t for those people that gifted these to me I wouldn’t be writing this post for you guys. I am so so happy with all of the products mentioned and can’t wait to use them more. Hopefully my obsession with Nars and Dior won’t grow any larger than what it is…lol

Thanks so much for reading guys and hope you enjoyed seeing what I got for my birthday xo
