Urban Decay Naked Heat Collection

Hey lovelies….Happy friday, can’t believe another week is nearly over it will soon be the autumn/fall period and I love that time of the year. I love it when the leaves start falling off the trees and halloween and bonfire night are just around the corner. You can tell i’m not really a summer girl right 🙂 Even though I was born in July it’s crazy. One release I had been the most excited for this summer was the Urban Decay Naked Heat collection. Once I seen the first reviews on it on youtube they kinda put me on the fence over this palette so I said to myself I was not going to pick this palette up. There has been so many mixed reviews on this palette that I gave in and decided to see what the palette was like for myself.  A lot of beauty bloggers have posted photos of the palette on social media and it started growing on me so I ordered some of this collection from Debenhams.  I picked up the palette, an eyeliner in the shade torch and a vice lipstick in the shade fuel. Plus I love warm tones and probably have the shades in other palettes, I just couldn’t resist so here it is…my first impressions on the naked heat collection 🙂

Firstly I want to talk about the packaging guys. I absolutely love the concept behind the packaging the palette comes in.  It reflects the style of a matchbox and has prints of matchsticks in the inside too. The name of the palette is spot on and totally goes with the matchstick theme. The colours of the case are so autumnal and also show the consumer the colours of the shades that are in the actual palette. The heavy tin the palette comes in is fab too. Urban Decay have won me over with this packaging, I feel that is the best packaging they have done so far compared to the other naked palettes. Thumbs up from me for the design of this palette 🙂

Urban Decay really know how to put shades together when it comes to palette releases. The whole naked heat theme really does scream summer and autumn to me. You could wear this palette all year around if you wanted too, there’s no rules in makeup. I love the fact that this palette has bronze, reds, ambers, browns and neutral shades. It really is a gorgeous palette and I love all these types of tones.  I probably have all of these shades in other palette’s but what the hell the only difference is their different brands with different formulas. So every shade you have in palette’s are all unique 😉 I can’t wait to use these colours on my eyes and create  some gorgeous looks with them 🙂  I’m also happy that the names of the shades are inside the palette too, you don’t always get that with new releases and find this helps when describing a shade name. The palette retails for £39.50 here at Debenhams 🙂 I also picked up one of the new eyeliners in the collection. The shade is called torch and it retails for £15.50. There is also another shade called alkaline but that’s not in stock on Debenhams right now. You can also pick this collection up from the official Urban Decay UK website here 🙂

Urban Decay also have vice lipsticks, from what I have heard there super creamy. I have never tried their vice lipsticks so decided to pick up the shade fuel from the naked heat collection.  I absolutely love this shade and of course it’s another nude. I can’t help but buy nude shades. My entire lipstick collection must be taken over by nude shades. When I seen this collection being swatched on youtube i was instantly drawn to this shade and knew that if I got the palette i needed to pick this up too. It really is a pretty shade and I think it would suit all skin tones too. The product is 3.4 g and is designed to be worn with the naked heat palette. Fuel is described as a warm peachy nude cream shade. It retails for £15.50 and you can pick it up from Debenhams here

Guys I have added the promotional video for the naked heat palette below just so you can take a quick look. I am so impressed with this collection considering I was not going to pick anything up. There are two other shades in the vice lipstick and another eyeliner too. I picked up what i could get my hands on at the time of ordering so I may pick up the alkaline eyeliner when it is back in stock. The swatches I did of the palette, the lipstick and eyeliner are all included in this post as always. Just to be aware I swatched the shades twice to get a good colour pay off as I had seen so many reviews say that once the top layer was off the pigmentation is unreal. I honestly do agree the quality and pigmentation of these shades are gorgeous. I really like the formula in this palette and can also tell that this formula is so so different to the other naked palettes too. Remember that swatches on the arm are not always true to colour it’s what they look like on the eyes themselves….ENJOY AND HAVE FUN WITH IT!! 🙂
