Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette

Too Faced are one of a few brands I absolutely love. Majority of the products I own from Too Faced are eyeshadow palettes 🙂 For christmas I received quite a few palettes and Too Faced latest release was one of them. I was so excited to receive their Chocolate Gold palette for christmas of 2017!! The other half managed to get this for me before it’s release here in the UK.  I had no clue he ordered it, so when I opened up a Too Faced parcel christmas morning I was in shock. I get so excited about NEW eyeshadows and this palette certainly lives up to its hype…

It must be love…

When I first saw this palette over on Trendmood1 I knew I had to have it in my collection. I absolutely love metallic shades and needed this no matter what. I also got drawn to the packaging too. Too Faced have always had the signature chocolate drips on the outer packaging as well as the palette itself. This time the packaging looks like real gold. Apparently the palette is infused with real gold too???…

When you open eyeshadow palette’s from Too Faced (especially their chocolate series) they actually smell like cocoa, it’s crazy. The smell is amazing, why can’t all eyeshadows have this smell!! The chocolate gold palette is described as ” A luxurious gold and cocoa-powder infused eyeshadow palette that smells as good as it looks. Have a major metallic moment with foiled shadows that are created with real gold for an epic-high shine finish that’s paired with rich, seductive mattes for coffee to cocktails wear. All shadows feature a soft, velvety texture with full coverage payoff. The entire palette is infused with skin loving cocoa powder for a decadent chocolate scent”

Chocolate Gold has 4 mattes and 12 metallic shadows. In total you get 0.54 oz of shadow.  I’m not going to go in too much with how much product you get as we all know the pan size of most too Faced shadows. What I will say is that the quality of the mirror looks better and it’s also larger too. This is good if you plan to take the palette travelling with you. To be honest I don’t really use mirrors in palette’s as I like to see my whole face when doing my makeup so this doesn’t bother me..

Does anyone think the colour scheme of this palette is gorgeous?? I fell in love with it straight away. The gold on the top row definitely stood out to me(when looking at it in the pan). Im a sucker for gold eyeshadows so became excited pretty quick. You can imagine how much I wanted to use the palette before taking photos…

The following photos are all the swatches I did on my arm without any primer or setting spray. If you read my posts frequently I always say this as I want to show you what it looks like in it’s original form. Since swatching the palette I have used the palette on my eyes. You can wear the shadows alone or blended together. I do advised to pick up the shadow lightly as there is a tiny bit of fall out, not too much though. The metallics are insane, if you apply them wet they look even better. I really think that this palette has been one of the best from Too Faced. I don’t know what they have done this time but they need to continue making products like this one….

Row 1 from T-B are the shades Money Bags, Chocolate Gold, Rich Girl, Cocoa Truffle and Decadent

My favourite shades from row 1 are Money Bags, Chocolate Gold and Rich Girl. The 2 mattes are great as transition and outer v shades…

Row 2 from T-B are the shades Love and Cocoa, Old Money, New Money, Famous, Classy & Sassy and So Boujee

I absolutely love this row of shades. I mean look at that Pink metallic how gorgeous is that!! The shades Love & Cocoa and Old Money look even more gorgeous in person…

Lastly row 3 include shades (from T-B) Holla For A Dolla, Gold Dipped, Livin’ Lavish, Drippin’ Diamonds and Rollin’ In Dough

This row is stunning. You can tell which one of these shades is the matte. The metallics in this row are so stunning plus when you apply Drippin’ In Diamonds to the lid it makes your eye colour pop even more…

From reading other blogs online the swatches I have look a lot brighter. Now I don’t know if this is because they have swatched the shadows wet or used a filter on their photo. As you can see in my photos some shades swatch better than others. Some look more pigmented than others. We all know the true performance of a shadow is how it works on the eye, does it blend well?, is it patchy?, can you create a look with them??. I always find you just know when your going to like a shadow. It’s the moment when you apply the tip of your brush to your lid…we’ve struck “Gold” with this one…

You can pick up Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette on their website HERE or if your in the UK you can pick it up from Debenhams and Selfridges 😉

I sometimes add in videos from you tube in my posts. One of my favourite influencers on youtube is the lovely Hannah Schroder 🙂 I absolutely love her channel. Her videos are amazing. She does so well at describing products and demo’s them beautifully. Go give her follow she will really appreciate it. Follow her over on her other socials which can be found from her you tube channel 🙂

Have you tried this palette yet? Do you love Too Faced as a brand??
