Hey lovelies…..Christmas is right around the corner and thought today’s post would be appropriate enough for the beginning of December. There has been lots of times when everyone asks each other what are your favourite christmas songs or what’s your favourite christmas food. I had seen so many christmas tags all over the internet and chose some questions I wanted to answer myself. It’s also a little bit of insight into the blogger who’s blog your reading. In the 8 months I have been blogging I have noticed that anyone and everyone can write about a product or review something but these types of posts have a more personal touch tot hem. It’s unique to you. I have enjoyed answering these and if you wish to add these questions to your blog feel free, let me know if you do and I will take a look…enjoy xo
What is your favourite Christmas movie/s?
I like so many movies at this time of the year. One of my favourites has to be Miracle on 34th street. I remember watching this as a kid I must have been around 6 or 7 years old at the time. I liked Mara Wilson when I was growing up as she was “the” child star everyone loved. The film was set In New York City and ever since I saw the film I had my heart set on visiting the big apple. So many years later that wish came true. Another favourite has to be home alone, this is what makes christmas for me beside all the bicker and banter in this movie having family around at christmas time is the most important. Being able to say “I have been there” still makes watching this movie seem surreal..I mustn’t forget Elf Will Farrell just makes me laugh…
Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
I used to always want to open a present on christmas eve just because everybody else did. I wanted to follow the crowd but never did. I always felt opening them christmas morning felt more like christmas if you get me. As a kid I remember opening everyones present so early in the morning because I was so excited…I just ripped the wrapping off every gift to see what was inside. I didn’t think Santa was too happy with me lol…
Do you have a favourite Christmas Memory?
I’m trying to think about all the memories from Christmas as I’m sat writing this and don’t think I have a certain one. The only one I think about that makes me cry with laughter was when my uncle had been on holiday just before the festive season. He had drunk quite a bit and appeared pleasantly drunk. What came next was not expected! He had stripped off too his boxers(like you normally do on christmas day haha!) and called out “Do you want to see my white bits?”. Think the mince pies, beer and all the “ho ho ho”s” must have got to him that day. Either way it was entertaining…
4. Favourite Festive Food?
At Christmas time I think everyone’s answer would be chocolate especially after the christmas meal has been served and you can open the bottle of wine you had stored since November lol. I would have to say I love a good Christmas Turkey dinner with lots of roast potatoes…especially crispy ones. I also like not love sweet mince pies and they have to be minature ones too, i’m far too fussy with the standard sized ones.
5. Favourite Christmas Gift?
Besides my macbook pro which a got a couple of christmas’s ago from my boyfriend(In absolute shock I was and still am!) I asked for one of those dolls no not tiny tears but the ones that are giant size and walk with you when you hold its hand. I asked for one of these for such a long time and must have got one when I was about 5 or 6 I think. I remember walking round the whole house with it and I wouldn’t sit down. I’d even take her out in the street for walks sad I know. Can I talk about the girls world head, surely everyone must have had one of these. You could put makeup on her and style her hair. I remember using the makeup palette it came with and drew rosy cheeks on my mum…you gotta laugh. I’m sure we still have the photo somewhere….
6. Favourite Christmas Scent?
For me it has to be the smell of cakes and gingerbread oh and christmas coffee. There’s too many I like especially when christmas dinner is being cooked. I also love yankee candle at christmas time, their cranberry ice scent is amazing. You have to pick one of those candles up to appreciate how gorgeous it smells…
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
As kids we all put out some milk, a carrot and a mince pie for santa and ruldolph (so we were told lol). Now I think I look forward to a pamper right before christmas, a good soak in the bath, a face mask and a bottle of bubbly. Oh and of course christmas pyjamas with christmas films or music. This would all depend on whether I’m working or not. Recently we have also gone out for a few drinks christmas eve too….with friends most of the time.
8. What tops your tree?
Definitely a star, we did have an angel when we were little and we always waited until the tree was decorated before we put her on top. The angel was never straight and always leant to one side but what can you do. Now I much prefer the star….a glittery gold one.
9. If you could be in any Christmas Movie what would it be?
Out of every christmas movie I’ve seen I think it would have to be ELF. Everything about that movie is christmas to me. It’s so fun to watch and definitely gets you in the christmas spirit. I love Will Farrell, his acting skills are second to none. I also love New York City and walking round looking like an elf all day is fine with me…..
10. Your granted with one christmas wish what would it be?
To become a mum, that’s all I would wish for. It’s heartbreaking to see so many people that don’t appreciate having a child or even a family….
If you wish to use any of these questions in a christmas tag feel free to do do. If you do let me know and I’ll check out your answers too. Hope your having fun preparing for christmas…xo
