New In Beauty: Makeup

Is it me or does January feel like the right time to add a lot of new makeup to our collections?? I purchase new makeup all year round which I feel really grateful for. At the moment I am able to still do this so picking up those items I really want comes as an advantage for me. I wanted to talk about those products that are still new to my makeup collection or there products I have tried in the past….

What’s new in my makeup collection??

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette

As soon as I saw that Huda Kattan was releasing another palette I did my research. Trendmood had sneek peeks of the palette over on her Instagram. Sophie is amazing she’s always in the know on new makeup releases. Her Instagram page is responsible for half of my consumption I think 🙂 I don’t have Huda’s rose gold palette so I can’t give my thoughts on how they both compare. But I am in love with this palette. The colour scheme is right up my street and I adore metallics. Those of you that read my blog may have read my post on the palette already. Check it out HERE if you want to read my first impressions…

Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow

Now everyone knows how much I adore Charlotte’s brand. Wonderglow is one of my favourite products from her line. It’s a primer but it gives the most gorgeous gold glow to your skin.  If your skin is looking a bit dull after the christmas season and throughout January I highly recommend this for a winter glow…

Tarte Bottom Lash Mascara

I have always been on the hunt for a decent bottom lash mascara. I hate applying regular mascara to those bottom lashes as they appear more sparse and very fine. A regular mascara clumps up too much and then you end up getting mascara all under your eyes. Trust me this is not a good look. You may be thinking just buy a mascara with a smaller wand but when I discovered that Tarte did a bottom lash mascara I had to pick it up. As soon as I started using it I could see the difference. It adds a bit of volume to those tiny lashes and doesn’t leave any excess on the skin either. I picked mine up from QVC so I’m not sure if it is still available…

Mac Glitter in Gold

I had always wanted to get my hands on some of Mac’s pigments and glitters. Just before christmas it was mine and my partner’s anniversary. We always get each other some gifts, it’s tradition with us now. I asked if he could pick up some glitters for me to try. Mac had their holiday collection out at the time and their mini sets were perfect. I ended up choosing the gold set and have been in love since. I used the glitter over christmas and it’s gorgeous. The effect it gives on the lids is beautiful. Of course you need a glitter glue so make sure to pick up. Brands such as Too faced or even NYX have these products…

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise

I love cream eyeshadows. There great as bases or just on their own. I have talked about these so much on my Instagram and on the blog too. The quality of these cream shadows is second to none. I use these on a daily and can run out of them pretty quickly. I picked up another one in the shade Marie Antoniette. It’s described on Charlotte’s website as an oyster gold. It’s stunning, you can actually wear these under the waterline too and create a smoky look…

Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette

I love ABH as a brand. Her eyeshadows are some of my favourite. I have the Modern Renaissance and the Master Palette By Mario palette’s. Both of those palette’s have such tremendous quality. I did want to get the Subculture palette but I ended up passing on it after all the hate it got on social media. I did however want to pick up the Prism palette. Norvina introduced this one and I liked how the swatches looked. When I did my own swatches I was really impressed with it and it looks amazing on the eyes.  You can read my first thoughts on the Prism palette HERE 🙂 The colour scheme is different but it’s enough to make you want to try it out. I always get drawn to gold shades so the golds in this palette get used a lot more than others…

Mac Honeylove Lipstick

I am a huge fan of lipsticks. This category must come in second after eyeshadow palette’s. I much prefer a lipstick to a liquid lipstick though. Mac is a brand I don’t have a lot of lipsticks from. I have enough to know what the quality is like and it’s good. I do want to pick up some more of their lipsticks though. Over christmas I was gifted Mac’s Honeylove as I fell in love with the colour. I love nude, browns and muted pinks and I seen so many influencers talk about Honeylove. In store I was fixated on making sure this was the shade I got. Luckily they had it in and this shade was added to my collection..I think the shades Twig, Sin and Ruby Woo are on my wishlist too…
