Kylie X Kourt Collab

I asked over on Instagram if you guys wanted to see a blog post on the recent Kylie X Kourt Collab and the majority of you said yes. Either way I have been planning to put this post together from the moment this collection was announced!! Kylie released this collection on her website on April 24th. I mean just how beautiful is this collection?…..

As you all know by now I have a huge obsession with Kylie Cosmetics. My most loved products from Kylie are her eyeshadow palettes. As soon as Kylie announced she was collaborating with her sister I was intrigued.  From there promo pictures there was big hints that the collab would have eyeshadows and lipsticks. There was also a lot of controversy surrounding this collection as a lot of people were slating Kylie for repackaging her holiday 2017 collection and passing it off as a new collection.  Kylie swatched the products over on her snapchat and immediately they were posted on trendmood and other upcoming makeup feeds. To be honest I’m not interested in all the drama surrounding collections as I’m going to buy it anyway if it’s something I’m interested in….

The Kylie X Kourt Collab includes 3 eyeshadow palettes and 3 velvet liquid lipsticks.  In the collection the names of the palettes are  Pink, Blue and Green. These are then accompanied by a velvet liquid lipstick. The names of the lipsticks are called French Kiss, Minnie and Rad.  I absolutely love Kylie’s velvet formula for her lipsticks. I much prefer it to the matte formula as there’s just something different about them. When you apply the velvet lipsticks there much more creamier and wear more comfortably too. On Kylie’s website there were 10 purchasing options to choose from when adding the products to your basket….

The Kourt X Kylie Bundle….this collection includes all 3 velvet liquid lipsticks and all 3 eyeshadow palettes. This collection was priced at $108.00

The Kourt X Kylie Pink Bundle includes the Pink palette and the French Kiss Velvet Liquid Lipstick. This bundle was priced at $38.00

The Kourt X Kylie Blue Bundle included the Blue palette and the Rad Velvet Liquid Lipstick. This bundle was priced at $38.00

The Kourt X Kylie Green Bundle included the Green palette and the Minne Velvet Liquid Lipstick. Again this bundle was priced at $38.00

The Kourt X Kylie palettes on their own cost $24.00 and the velvet lipsticks cost $16.00…

Besides being able to purchase the entire collection and mini bundles you could also buy these products separately.  I think this is a great option because you may not be interested in a whole bundle but just one or two products. Currently the collection is SOLD OUT and I’m not sure if Kylie is going to restock it….

As soon as I received this collection I had to open up the box pretty much straight away. However the blogger in me resisted the temptation to swatch them until I was ready to take photos. Let me just say the packaging for this collection is absolutely stunning!! It’s got to be one of the best packaged collections in my opinion.  I absolutely love how Kylie has matched each liquid lipstick to a palette too….

The outside packaging for the Green palette is white and silver with metallic lips. It’s just gorgeous. When you open up the box the actual palette is well green lol. You would think that Kylie would have made the outside packaging green too but I kinda like how she’s mixed it up a little. On the palette itself it has Kourt’s name and Kylie Cosmetics underneath. Inside the palette you get a mirror and 4 eyeshadow shades. I have swatched each shade for you in the photo below…

From T-B the shade names are Slob Kobob, Ma$e, Matcha and Heartless

The shades in this palette are absolutely stunning. I mean just look at how pigmented they are. That red shade is bloody gorgeous. On Kylie’s website the shade Slob Kabob is described as a Matte Cool Grey. Ma$e is described as a Matte Pomegranate. Matcha is described as a Metallic Blue Green and Heartless is described as a Metallic Gold…

The velvet liquid lipstick that comes with this bundle is called Minnie. I absolutely love how Kylie has designed the tops for the velvet lipsticks. Minnie has a green reflect on the lid so you know that it’s part of the Green bundle…

The outside packaging for the Pink palette looks like a palm tree design in pink and silver. This packaging is adorable.  When you open the box of course the packaging is pink and again has Kourts name on the front with Kylie Cosmetics underneath.  As you open the palette you have a mirror and again 4 eyeshadow shades. I love how Kylie has placed a silver rim around the shadows too. I have included swatches of the Pink palette in the photo below…

From T-B the shade names are Diamond, Poosh, The Queen and Gluten Free

The Pink palette is perfect for everyday wear. The shadows are very subtle which makes them wearable. On Kylie’s website Diamond is described as a Icy White Gold. Poosh is described as a Metallic Soft Pink With Multi Dimensional Glitter and Gluten Free is described as a Metallic Peach Pink…

The velvet liquid lipstick that comes with this bundle is called French Kiss.  Again French Kiss has a pink reflect on the lid so you know it goes with the Pink palette…

Lastly the outside packaging for the Blue Palette sorta looks like the ocean to me. It has what looks like blue waves on it, I could be totally wrong. Again the Blue palette has Kourts name on the front with Kylie Cosmetics underneath. The actual palette is Blue of course again housing a mirror and 4 eyeshadow shades. I have swatched the 4 shades in the photo below…

From T-B the shade names are 1944, In The Reign, Calabasas and Bible

This has to be my favourite palette in the Kourt X Kylie Collab. I feel like these shades swatched better than the other two palettes. I have also used this palette the most on my eyes.  The Bible shade swatched kinda patchy but on the eyes it’s beautiful. I also used the shade Calabasas underneath the bottom lashline and blended it out. In The Reign is a gorgeous shade too. On Kylie’s website the shade 1944 is described as a Metallic Bright Gold. In The Reign is described as a Metallic Bright Bronze. Calabasas is described as a Warm Brown and Bible is described as a Warm Plum…

The velvet lipstick that comes with this palette is called Rad. Rad is a gorgeous shade and is very very bright. Rad also has a blue reflect on the lid so you know it goes with the Blue palette…

You’ve finally got to the end of my post, well done you. I know I like to write a lot in my posts as I prefer them to be full of info for you guys to take away. The Kourt K Kylie Collab also includes 3 velvet liquid lipsticks. When I saw the shades I was instantly drawn to Minnie and French Kiss, not so much Rad. Rad is so so bright that it’s totally out of my comfort zone. I decided to pick up the bundle anyway because I wanted all 3 eyeshadow palettes and the nude lipsticks. Rad kinda tagged along you know lol 🙂 I have taken a photo of the 3 velvet liquid lipsticks for you just so you can see how beautiful the packaging is. The lipsticks have the reflects in the lids so you can see which palette you use with them and again has Kourts name on the outside..

From L-R the shades names French Kiss, Rad and Minnie

Just how stunning are these shades. I feel like I can get on really well with French Kiss and Minnie. I think for me to able to rock Rad I need to colour my hair, exfoliate, whack some tan on and then I’m good to go. I didn’t realise how much hard work it would be to wear that shade lol…besides that it is beautiful colour to wear for summer. I have included swatches of the velvets in the photo below….

From L-R the shade names are Minnie, Rad and French Kiss

I know this post has been so so long but I like to be informative and thorough. I feel these posts are the best ones. I did watch a video on Kylie’s youtube channel where Kylie was asking Kourt how she chose her shade names. There was a total of 4 videos on this collection. Like the badass blogger that I am I am going to include all 4 videos in this post. I will make a short disclaimer and say that the promotional pictures of Kylie and Kourtney themselves are owned by Kylie Cosmetics. The videos I have used in this post are also owned by Kylie Cosmetics on Youtube. The photos of the products and the swatches are those of my own. I hope your enjoy the next 4 promotional videos of this collection as I did….
