Everyday Winter Makeup

Hey lovelies…Welcome to day 5 of Blogmas 🙂 I wanted to add some makeup posts to this series too and always have to put on some makeup even if it’s just for everyday wear. During the winter my makeup during the day is very minimal and I love using affordable makeup for this. Today’s round up has some recently released products as well as my absolute must haves….enjoy xo

I have bought this one quite a few times and I love how it applies to my  skin. The Nyx Angel Veil Primer is a firm favourite of mine and I tend to reach for it all year round, even more so in the winter. I like how light it is, it doesn’t feel like you have lots of primer on underneath your foundation. I have combination to oily skin and it sits nicely on my skin, you can see how well it sits when your foundation isn’t rubbing off…

During the summer I wanted more of a subtle highlight, nothing too heavy and was so excited to try out Tanya Burr’s chasing the sun collection. Tanya released three highlighting shades and the one I loved the most was the shade “Champagne Sorbet”. It’s such a lovely shade, I would describe it as a very light gold shimmer. I have been using this through the autumn too and into the months of November and December. I love how it’s not too heavy especially for the daytime. I love wearing this on work days especially if you have such a short amount of time to get ready. I would definitely recommend picking this up if you haven’t already…

I keep my lipstick shade quite minimal too and the shade I love the most has to be Velvet Teddy by Mac Cosmetics. Velvet Teddy is a gorgeous shade and of course is a nude, surprise surprise!! 🙂 Mac describe it as a deep tone beige and the formula is amazing too. It’s so comfortable to wear as well. If I don’t want to wear a lipstick I reach for a lip balm and recently Zoella released her christmas collection for 2017. The new lip balms are lovely and come in star tins. I have been reaching for the Peony One more as it makes your lips so soft and the scent is gorgeous. I usually wear lip balms when I want to keep things simple, this often happens on work days…

For those who read my blog and follow me on Instagram you will know that eyeshadows are my favourite thing to talk about. Im an absolute eyeshadow junkie and own more than I need. For the commute to work, going out for lunch or shopping I like to add a pop of colour to the eyes. The palette I reach for the most during this time of the year has to be Tanya burr’s Hollywood palette. The colours in it are so gorgeous and just as good as high end shadows. For the price the quality is amazing. I remember picking mine up from Feel Unique but I’m not sure they have it on there now. If you can get your hands on it definitely do, especially if you love Tanya Burr Cosmetics..

To open my eyes up especially so early in the morning I like a mascara with volume. Maybelline have to be one of my favourite drugstore brans and the Lash Sensational Mascara is incredible, I love it!!. The brush is amazing and definitely adds volume to my lashes. I usually apply one to two coats plus it doesn’t get onto your skin above your top lash either. I hate it when mascara’s do that, it’s so annoying. For my brows I use the Tanya Burr Perfect Brows kit, simple to use, easy and great quality too…I’m impressed 🙂

To add a bit of colour to my cheeks I use the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze And Glow in the shade light to medium. This is again another firm favourite of mine. You can use this all year round too, I like how subtle the colour is. I’m not a huge fan of blush and rely on sculpt and bronze shades to make me look more human in the winter. I love Charlotte’s products and this would be one to try if haven’t already….
