Everyone loves a glam make up look but i love a little “go to glam”, sometimes i like to be different lol. Everyone has their make up they use for work, days off and occasions too. Most of my week gets taken up by work hours so i like to use more drugstore items than high end(for work!!), I don’t like to use much of my luxury/high end products when i’m working as they are so expensive so i save these items for my days off..of course you’ve got look FULL ON GLAM when your off right haha!! I sometimes mix drugstore with high end when i feel i want to add more intensity to the look. This look is so versatile as you can use some of the items on off duty days too.
Before any application of make up you have to have a great base or canvas. For most go to glam days i like to look more awake than i actually am and have glowing skin, for this step I use the Charlotte Tilbury WonderGlow🙂 I use this as a primer underneath my foundation but you can also use it alone or over your foundation to create a glowing effect. On Charlotte’s site it is described as “an instant soft focus beauty primer”. Perfect for a dewy look and a instant pick me up.
My next step is foundation. For me the foundation i am loving at the moment is a drugstore item. It is the Maybelline Better Skin Foundationthat describes it as a skin transforming foundation in 3 weeks. I absolutely love it and my skin has never looked better. To be honest I would actually rate this as better than some of my high end foundations.
I do wear powders over my foundation but those products change all the time however for my eyes i always wear the same colours especially when the weather starts warming up. I have been using an eyeliner from charlotte tilbury at the moment, i usually wear black eyeliner but find a soft brown is a lot more natural for the daytime, it’s not as intense. You can pick up Barabella brown from charlottes’s site. Its retails for £19. I absolutely love it, it just glides on and it’s so creamy, such effortless application for a liner.
With summer just around the corner i have been looking forward to wearing more bronze tones especially with eyeshadow. For under my waterline i have been using the Rimmel Scandaleyes shadow sticks by Kate moss. I have been loving the rose gold shade, its GORGEOUS!! It’s only £4.49 from boots too. Such a fantastic product for drugstore, so easy to apply too. I have been using it under the waterline or you can use it on the lid. I def recommend trying out these eyeshadow sticks…
The next product for my eyes that I have been using is the colour pop super shock shadow in “gameface”. It so stunning, it’s like a copper/bronze colour. Its intense too. I use these as lid toppers after putting a base colour on. The pigmentation is amazing as you don’t need to use a fixing/setting spray on your brush to apply. Even application with your finger is great because just one swipe you pick up a lot of colour. I love these super shock shadows, for the price you can’t go wrong. However i pick them up off the Colourpop website and pay for shipping and customs, trust me you NEED to try these!!

Of course you can’t have a bronze eye look without a poppin’ highlight right. For work days i’ve been using a product from sleek. Sleek do really affordable makeup and you can find it in high street stores and online. For my highlight recently i have been using the cleopatra’s kiss set. As described on the superdrug website “Unleash your inner goddess with sleek make up’s cleopatra’s kiss”. Two of the colours are creams and two are baked powders. You even get a brush to apply them. On the packaging it says you can use the powders over the cream highlights too. You can pick this set up from Superdrug or any other high street shop…..it retails for £9.99 online.
