Everyday Autumn Makeup Routine

Autumn has finally arrived! There’s nothing better than switching up your makeup! I love all the makeup looks at this time of the year, gold eyes and berry lips is definitely a fave! I wanted to share with you some products I love using during Autumn, I’ve also popped in a few new products too….

Whether it’s for work or off duty days I always HAVE to wear a primer, I feel like my foundation applies and sits better on my skin when there is a primer underneath. I have so many primers in my collection right now, I am trying to get through them all before purchasing more! Two primers I have recently been using include the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer and the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow. I use the Laura Mercier one for work and the CT one on my days off. The LM primer works so well with my foundation, it doesn’t cake up or anything, just sits nicely on the skin. It’s also greta for all skin types too.  Wonderglow is one of my favourites, I just love how radiant your skin looks when you apply it, of course I save this for off duty days due to it’s heavy price tag..

A new foundation I am dying to try is the Airbrush Flawless Foundation from Charlotte Tilbury!* I have heard so many good reviews about this foundation, I just want to finish off the Magic Foundation first before using this one. Magic Foundation is one of my favourites too for off duty days, with this one you don’t need to apply as much product, it’s demi matte as well. When applying it it looks like you haven’t put enough on but trust me too don’t layer it too much or you will just look like a hot mess, the glow it gives when used with your concealer and powder is so so gorgeous!

After I have applied my foundation and concealer I always set it with a loose powder. One drugstore powder I would highly recommend is the Rimmel Match Perfection Powder, the one with the blue lid! This is such a lovely product, I apply loose powder with a sponge and it goes on nicely, it looks gorgeous on the skin for what it costs, This is by far the best drugstore powder I have tried, if you have combination skin like me you should definitely check this one out! I have used this for years and go through them like there’s no tomorrow..

Again for off duty days the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Powder is another favourite for me! Everyone knows how much I love Charlotte’s brand, again as soon as you apply the powder you can see what I mean, it definitely leaves your skin looking “magical”, it’s just beautiful after application. There’s no way to describe your base when you use this, let’s just say “absolutely flawless”…

Once I’ve set my makeup I love to contour my face and apply bronzer! I haven’t used any other contour palette other than the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow, this is one of the most gorgeous products in my collection. It’s part of my makeup routine for work and for occasions. I have always used the contour shade which is hitting pan already…I definitely need to pick up a new one…

For my bronzer I have been using Makeup Forever’s Pro Fusion Bronze in the shade Honey, it’s one of their lighter shades and it looks so beautiful on the skin. It’s perfect to apply all year round, looks even more perfect during the summer too. I couldn’t go without bronzer, it’s become part of my routine on a day to day basis. Without bronzer you can look a little plain jane if you know what I mean, bronzer adds a bit more warmth to the face I think…

My favourite part in applying makeup is definitely eyeshadow! I am such an eyeshadow palette freak…literally! My eyeshadow palette collection is in fact a little insane, too much actually but it’s what I love! A palette I gravitate towards at this time of the year is Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette, the name gives it away, Latte, Pumpkins, Pumpkin Spice, you get my drift! It’s such a pretty palette, from the packaging to the eyeshadow shades it’s definitely one you NEED in your collection. The shades in this palette are beautiful Pumpkin, Creme Brulee and Macchaito are some gorgeous colours especially for fall season! This palette has been out a while but it’s one I love using so so much! I adore Christien Dominique’s channel on Youtube, definitely take a look if your a makeup enthusiast like me…

One of the last steps in makeup application for me is highlighter. I love to use a lot of my expensive highlighters for off duty days. One of them being my Dior highlighter, it’s the only product I own from Dior Beauty! This shade is so so pretty, it’s a part of their Nude Air Luminizer collection, it’s in the shade 02 I think. I got this highlighter as a gift for one of my birthday’s and it still looks as gorgeous as ever, it’s application is still perfect..

Last but not least is lipstick. I always use a lip liner before applying my lip colour whether that’s a liner from my Kylie cosmetics collection or the perfect nude from my CT stash I can’t be without one. A lipstick I cannot put down right now is the shade JK Magic from Charlotte’s new hot lips 2 range. This shade is so so beautiful, it’s the perfect nude for my skin tone, it just looks gorgeous on and the packaging is just something else…if Charlotte were to make a lipstick just for me this would be it! I am absolutely in love with these new shades and would love to pick up some more…

Of course you can’t leave such a pretty makeup look without a setting spray right! The one I’m currently using is Urban Decay’s All Nighter, this is definitely a favourite. I don’t know what it is but it literally does what it says on the packaging, stays put all day. Setting spray is a staple, I need to have it in my collection, without it makeup application is pointless, you start getting makeup coming off or going patchy, it’s certainly not a good luck. I’m not saying i haven’t had my makeup go patchy but with this stuff it helps you know what I mean…
