Christmas Gift Guide: Charlotte Tilbury

Hey lovelies….I have seen quite a few christmas gift guides and wanted to put more of a personal touch to this one. The last one I did was my first attempt at doing a christmas gift guide. I have only been blogging since earlier on this year and have learnt so much already. My favourite brand in beauty has to be of course Charlotte Tilbury and I wanted to do a gift guide for those that are new to the brand and have not tried anything from Charlotte’s line before.  I have  included some makeup items as well as skincare and makeup tools…..enjoy xo

In any skincare routine you have to have a face mask and I am absolutely in love with the Goddess Skin Clay Mask. I tried this last year for the very first time and fell in love instantly. Even though I have combination to oily skin I feel that this product would suit all skin tones and types. It makes my skin feel so soft afterwards and I love using this at least once a week. I have it in the full size version as well as the minis. It has nourishing properties in it too so reawakens your skin. Perfect if your looking for a christmas treat to yourself or for anyone that loves skincare…

They always say to use a primer before applying foundation to your skin. A primer is used before foundation so your product has a nice base to cling too. Rather than it clinging to your skin and clogging up your pores a primer acts as its base. You can pick up different types of primers depending on what finish your going for. I love Charlotte’s Wonderglow as it illuminates your skin and has light reflecting pearls in it. I love how glowy it makes your skin look. I use this primer on off duty days and for occasions too. It is costly but it lasts such a long time. If your looking for a gift to pick up as a christmas present this is lovely for those that like higher end products…

Onto makeup accessories I always used to think what’s all the big fuss about makeup brushes I only used to own a few a foundation brush, an eye brush and maybe powder brush etc. Now I must own so many brushes from different brands and I’ll only want to use that particular brush for a certain area of my face. I can totally get why people use them now. Back then I had no clue but they definitely make a difference in your makeup application.  This mini brush set from Charlotte Tilbury is so so cute. I could not pass on this. I love how compact it is and the brushes are so tiny. This makes this gift ideal for those travel a lot. I take this away with me so i don’t have to pack huge brushes in my makeup bag. I picked mine up last year for holiday 2016 and it’s out again this year too. The mini brush set has four brushes in it, a powder brush, a blender brush, a precision brush and a smudger brush. If you love applying eye make up or wish to find a perfect gift for someone who does this is lovely, you can’t go wrong…

Every christmas Charlotte releases her Nocturnal Cat Eyes shadows. I only own one and absolutely love the shade The Huntress. I also got a mini kohl eyeliner in the shade amber moon. I think I picked mine up from harrods I believe. On Charlotte’s website the shadow is advertised by its self. The huntress is a smoky golden bronze colour and they are gorgeous for the party season. You can use these as lid toppers or even wear them alone. I can’t wait to creating more festive looks with this…

One of my most favourite products from Charlotte’s line has to be the Eyes To Mesmerise Cream Eyeshadows. If you have read my blog from the start you know how much I talk about these. I absolutely love the consistency, the quality, the shade choices and the pigmentation of these shadows. They are like no other cream shadow I have tried before. I just love them. You only need to apply such a small amount to your brush. When you apply them to your eyes they do feel a little cold but they blend out so beautifully. One of my favourite shades is Marie Antoniette it’s described as an oyster gold shade. I love the longevity of these too, I don’t wear them all the time but when I do I use them as bases for other shadows too. If there’s one product you have to try from Charlotte Tilbury it’s these. I highly recommend them…

If your not quite keen on cream eyeshadows you could also give the pencil eyeshadows a go. Charlotte released eyeshadows in pencil form and these are called the Colour Chameleons. The pencil sticks were designed to enhance the colour of your eyes. There are so many different shades and my favourites have to be the shades Bronzed Garnet and Amethyst Aphrodisiac.  Bronzed Garnet and Amethyst Aphrodisiac are designed for green eyes. I have blue eyes and they look gorgeous on. You can use these alone on the lids or as eye bases too. I love wearing the shades underneath the bottom lashline and then smudge it out. Bronzed Garnet is described as a metallic red toned bronze and Amethyst Aphrodisiac is described as a sparking purple. They are also good to use when you don’t have much time to apply makeup so these would be ideal for a busy mum or those that only have 5 minutes to apply makeup. These would be ideal for office to party makeup looks too as you could carry these in your handbag and apply on the go…

EYESHADOW palette’s have always been my favourite part of makeup. I absolutely love them I think I must have an obsession with palette’s. Charlotte’s four pan palette’s are so so beautiful and if I received one of these as gift I would be thrilled. The design of the packaging to the quality of the shadows are amazing. My favourite palette has to be the Dolce Vita palette and in second place the Vintage Vamp palette. Both of these palette’s are so lovely to use especially for the festive season. The pop and enhance shades in both palette’s are my favourite. If you know someone that loves eyeshadows and wants to try out any of Charlotte’s palette’s these are lovely as gifts, definitely in my top ten Charlotte Tilbury products..

Mascara is what makes an eye look in my opinion. I wear contact lenses and have to be very careful with false lashes. I admit I am absolutely rubbish at applying falsies and can’t bear glue around my eyes. I have very sensitive lashes and I must say I’m quite lucky to have natural full lashes. I love how false lashes look on others but on me I can’t bear it. One of my favourite mascaras from Charlotte Tilbury is her Legendary Lashes.  I love how it lengthens my lashes even more the only downside I have is how it can sometimes leaves specks of mascara above your lashes and I’m forever trying to get rid of it. I also find this only happens when you put layer on top of layer of mascara. Trust me you only need one coat with this mascara and it will do the job. I added this into my gift guide as the minis I have are just too adorable and this product is amazing for those that don’t like wearing false lashes…

Last but not least a favourite of mine in Charlotte’s line has to be her lipsticks. I can’t believe how creamy they are. I absolutely love the shade Glastonberry especially for this time of year. I love wearing this at night time and find it complements a gold eye really nicely. Glastonberry is in the matte revolution formula and is described as a muted purple berry lipstick. This would look lovely for a christmas party or a meal out. I absolutely adore this shade and feel that any beauty lover would appreciate this for the holiday season….

So there you have it that’s my round up of gifts you may want to pick up for yourself or treat others too. I am a huge lover of Charlotte Tilbury products, they are such a luxurious item to have in you makeup collection. What have you loved from this christmas gift guide??? xo
