Hey lovelies….Charlotte Tilbury is a brand I discovered last summer on Instagram whilst looking through my feed. I saw the most beautiful lipstick and of course it was a nude. That same month I ended up receiving the best birthday present I have ever gotten. For my 30th birthday my partner surprised me with one of Charlotte’s iconic looks “the rock chick” and from that day forth it sparked my love for Charlotte Tilbury as a brand 🙂 On Cult Beauty this month Charlotte Tilbury is the brand of the month and it has inspired me to create today’s post. Were almost at the end of September so in ode to Charlotte and her cosmetics line I have put together some essentials I couldn’t be without from her brand…enjoy xo
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation
Charlotte has released two foundations in her line, the light wonder and the magic foundation. I prefer the magic foundation as the coverage is a lot more fuller than the light wonder. Light wonder is perfect for summer months when you don’t want much coverage. I love medium to full coverage foundation and when I tried Charlotte’s magic foundation I was in love. I use shade 6 which is one of the medium shades and it matches my skin tone quite well. I do find that you don’t need to use a lot but you may have to apply two coats for a full coverage look. I get blemishes quite often and love how this foundation covers them so quickly. When you use Charlotte’s retoucher and magic eye wand with the foundation it looks flawless and I have repurchased this foundation two to three times now. With it being a higher end product I like to use it on off duty days and for occasions too. At £30.00 this foundation is a staple in my makeup collection 🙂
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Micro Powder
In any foundation application when it comes to using a setting powder you want one that will make your skin look poreless and flawless. Charlotte’s airbrush micro powder is the most loved powder in my collection. I have gone through so many of these since buying Charlotte’s products. The packaging and the quality of this product is insane. Im in love with how beautiful it makes your skin look after application. You only need to use a light hand too. You get 8g of product for £33.00. You may think that’s expensive especially for a pressed powder but once you see the results you’ll be obsessed. I do find (with me) the longevity of this product is quite short. I use it quite a lot when I want to have a much more glam makeup look. It’s the only high end powder I own and will use guys…
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
For a product that looks beautiful at first glance the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow is a must have in anyone’s makeup collection. Charlotte uses it a lot on models and celebrities and as soon as I saw this I knew I wanted to try it out. I picked up this product last summer for £49.00 and I have used it to death. The highlighter is a very light champagne gold, it’s so subtle that it works wonders on any skin tone. It just gives you that glow your looking for without being over the top. The bronzer is the perfect sculpt shade for me. It’s not too orange either. I hate bronzers that give you an orangey look, this one is perfect for my skin tone too. I have the the light to medium filmstar bronze and glow. When I started to use this I wouldn’t put it down that now it’s almost out I don’t want to use it if that makes sense. I know I’m going to put this on my beauty wish list this autumn as I just can’t be without a product so gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this product if you want to treat yourself to a bit of luxury..
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise
I am an absolute eyeshadow junkie I have to admit. When I seen that Charlotte’s line had cream eyeshadows I was desperate to get my hands on them. I love a cream eyeshadow for a quick go to look or even used as a base for your eye look 🙂 Charlotte has six cream eyeshadow shades and my favourite is the shade “Bette”. Bette is described as a rich burnished amber gold and was created with inspiration from the famous Bette Davis. I like using Bette as a base then applying a gold powder eyeshadow over the top or even a gold highlighter. This look looks really pretty when you pair it with a nude or berry lip. The cream eyeshadows have a cream to sheen formula and retail for £22.00. The longevity of these shadows are amazing. I don’t use them all the time but when you apply it you only need the tiniest amount so don’t worry about rushing out to get another. I would absolutely recommend all the shades in this collection, there stunning..
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon
Charlotte’s Colour Chameleon pencils have been mentioned on my blog before. You can click the link here to see my post on them 😉 They are basically eyeshadow in pencil form. My favourite shade from all of them is “Bronzed Garnet”. I absolutely love this as a base and under the waterline too. It looks great smudged out with a bronze smoky eye. Bronzed Garnet is described as a metallic red toned bronze. The colour chameleons retail for £19.00 guys. They last such a long time too and when Charlotte was creating these she designed them for specific eye colours. Bronzed Garnet is ideal for green eyes. I have blue eyes and love how it enhances my eye colour. Perfect for when your doing makeup on the go too..
Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes
The only full sized product I have owned from Charlotte’s mascaras is her full fat lashes. I got one in the rock chick look I received as a gift last year. Unfortunately I used full fat lashes so much that I have just not yet replaced it yet. When Charlotte released her new legendary lashes mascara she was sending out mini ones with orders over £100. I have so many mini versions of this that I am actually preferring this one over the full fat lashes. I love the sleek design of this product and it has Charlotte’s eyes on the side of the tube. Legendary lashes retails for £25.00 and has recently been a CEW beauty awards winner for 2017. I love the effect it gives your lashes. I hate wearing false lashes absolutely hate it so having a mascara that fives you a false lash effect is ideal for me. I have been blessed with quite long lashes anyway so just one coat of this makes them more full. Im in love with this mascara..
Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette
The rock chick eyeshadow palette was my first luxury palette from Charlotte Tilbury. After the first sue i became obsessed with Charlotte’s eyeshadow formula. My favourite quad she has released is the Dolce Vita Palette. The luxury quads retail for £39.00, there have four shadows in each so thats just over £9.70 a shadow. Dolce vita palette is a very popular product and is described as a bronze and copper toned palette. I absolutely love bronze and copper tones so this palette screamed my name when I saw it. This was the first palette I purchased myself in autumn of last year and it’s still going strong. It’s such a beautiful palette to have in your collection. The pop shade is beautiful, I’m in love with the makeup looks you can create from just one palette. You get 5.2 g of product in the palettes. If you have never tried any of Charlotte’s eyeshadows I would say get this if your looking for the perfect warm toned palette 🙂
Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick
When it comes to lipsticks I look for a creamy matte formula. Charlotte’s hot lips lipsticks are so so comfortable to wear. The shade I love the most and wear almost every day is in the shade “Kim KW”. Kim KW has been made in homage to Kim Kardashian West. KIM KW is described as a light pinky beige nude lipstick and has been inspired by 1960’s screen sirens. I absolutely adore this shade it’s the perfect nude lipstick in my opinion. I love wearing this for go to makeup looks and much more glam looks too. It looks beautiful paired with a bronze or even a gold eye look. I love the formula of this, it feels so smooth and creamy on the lips. Sometimes I feel like i’m not wearing a lipstick it’s that comfortable. This shade is also very popular and retails for £24.00 guys…def a must have if your looking to purchase your first tilbury lipstick 🙂
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre
It’s totally up to you whether you just wear your lipstick alone or with a gloss over the top. Sometimes I like to use a gloss over Charlotte’s lipsticks or even wear the gloss alone. My favourite shade in Charlotte’s lip lustre’s is the shade “seduction”. The lip glosses have a creamy vinyl texture and are enriched with lotus flower extract. Designed to smooth, hydrate and protect your lips “seduction” looks gorgeous over any of Charlotte’s nude lipsticks. I prefer to sue it over Kim KW and guys it’s gorgeous it gives makes your lips look fuller and kissable. Charlotte’s seduction shade looks lovely over Peneople Pink too (the dolce vita look). The lip lustre’s retail for £16.50…
There you have it that’s my Charlotte Tilbury essentials if you look at it like that. Charlotte Tilbury is pretty much 75% of my makeup collection and i’m not sorry. If your looking to splurge on any luxury product please pick up something from Charlotte’s line, you’ll be obsessed. Do you already own products from her range, what do you think of them??…
Lastly I absolutely loved it when Charlotte did the Dolce Vita Look on Olivia Culpo almost a year ago now. I have added the video for you guys to take a look and see just how beautiful that palette is…video credits to @Charlotte Tilbury You Tube Channel xo
