10 Things To Do During Autumn

The colder nights are here, it’s started to get darker and I think it’s fair to say Autumn has officially arrived. Autumn is THE time of the year I feel much more content, I just love being all cosy when it’s raining outside. There’s so much to do at this time of the year so I’ve popped some down some of the things I’m looking forward too, hopefully you’ll find some ideas too…

Decorate your home to match the new season

Now that we have our own space I am fully embracing the Autumn season! I have loved seeing more decor here in the UK and feel that a lot more of us are decorating our homes the “American” way, you have to admit their fall decor is absolutely amazing! Recently I picked up some ceramic pumpkins from Homesense and they are just the cutest, they look adorable on our mantlepiece and window sills..

Switch up your makeup

As much as I adore a gorgeous bronze look in the summer I pretty much prefer the warm tones at this time of the year. I am absolutely in love with sparkly eyes and berry lips when it reaches Autumn. I love to bring all my darker lipsticks out of my collection and put them on my vanity, two of my favourite lip shades are Glastonberry from Charlotte Tilbury and Diva from Mac..these two are so gorgeous! I also love popping on the champagne and gold eyes too, they make your eye colour stand out so much more…

Visit Starbucks and Costa coffee

I don’t know what it is at this time of the year but I’m more drawn to Starbucks and Costa more than I am during the summer, does anybody else get me on that? I just love the sound of the Autumn and winter drinks, they sound so so cosy. Pumpkin Spice Latte sounds right up my street too, I definitely need to pick one up. Costa also have the Bonfire Spiced Latte and the Gingerbread and Cream one too…

Purchase some more cosy Pj’s

Yes I am a little PJ obsessed, I can barely fit them in my drawers anymore lol! Autumn is always THE time of the year I usually get gifted a new set or I buy some myself. I have seen some gorgeous sets out recently, I couldn’t help pick up one PJ set though and that was from Matalan, they have some lovely pink pyjamas in right now. I bought the Star Print Snit PJ set and omg these are so so pretty, they are pink with rose gold stars and have bows on the sleeves, if your pink obsessed like me these are a MUST HAVE!!..

Have a “Halloween Horror” night in

It’s not Autumn without a little Halloween right!! I am a horror movie fanatic and just love getting all cosy on halloween night with treats and a a good old classic scare! Halloween is my favourite movie at this time of the year, the legend that is Michael Myers will never get old! I have watched horrors as long as I can remember and much prefer the older films than ones that are released now..Nightmare on elm street, Evil dead, Night of the living dead, Friday the 13th and Chucky are some of what you’ll find on our tv screen this Halloween…

A good old Harry Potter Marathon

Besides the obvious “scary” movies I love re-watching all the HP films too! Im a HUGE Harry Potter fan and have a mini collection ( two shelves to be exact) dedicated to my HP merch! From books, replicas and pop vinyls it’s safe to say Im a Hogwarts student (at last!). My favourite Harry Potter movie is the Prisoner of Azkaban, I could watch this ten times over, I just love seeing Sirius in this one as he became the closest member of family Harry had, what’s your favourite HP movie?…

Buy some more candles

If you have seen my Instagram recently you will have noticed I did my first Bath and Body works Haul, let me tell you I am obsessed already! I am so so happy I was able to get my hands on Sweater Weather, a candle everyone and their mum talks about! YOU need to pick one up if you haven’t already…

I have become attached to candles right now, most of my shopping bags are filled with them. I had a little splurge in Tk Maxx and Homesense on Autumn scented candles recently, you have to fill your house with vanilla and pumpkin scents right…

Purchase some of the newest Lush collections

From the classic Monsters Ball to Golden Wonder Lush have the most amazing collections for Halloween and Christmas. I haven’t purchased any of the Halloween range yet but I really need too, there doesn’t seem to be as much in this year’s range as the last one though. I do have my eye on the Punkin Pumpkin bath bomb though! This year’s Christmas collection is heavenly, have you guys seen any of it yet! OMG I literally need the Snow Fairy Bath Bomb, it is just the cutest! Yog Nog is also back this year in a shower gel, my life is made!…

Bonfire Night and a Firework Display

Autumn is definitely not autumn without bonfire night and fireworks, I love bonfire night..the hot roaring fire, marshmallows, toffee apples, everthing about it I just love. Apart from standing outside forever in the cold whilst waiting for the fire to be lit isn’t enjoyable as feeling all cosy after. I also pay respects to my Grandad too, we lost him on this day five years ago…

A Cosy Pamper Night In

A cosy night in wouldn’t be perfect without a pamper. I love delving into my skincare drawer a little more at this time of the year, your skin just needs that little bit extra you know, a face mask, an exfoliator and a moisturiser are always my top three things to use. After a soak in a hot bubble bath with some Rituals products (Rituals of Sakura is gorgeous btw!) I’m ready to get cosy with some Horlicks and a cosy blanket….
